These graphs show the number of visitors and visitor-days for each year since the reserve began. The methodology changed for recording use in 1886 and again in 1997. In 1986 we began recording visitor-days rather than visitor-hours: data were converted to visitor-days by dividing by 24. In 1996 we began counting non-college-level teaching as public service rather than teaching. See the Visitor Statistics Table for numerical data. We also list classes visiting the reserve and projects completed or in progress at the reserve on separate pages. The Big Creek Reserve Reference List and the Big Creek Reserve Author List are compilations of journal articles and other publications based on research done at the reserve.
